Liebster Blog Award

I have been lucky enough to receive the Liebster Blog Award from the lovely talented Liz at Craftyliz's Creations who has given my blog this recognition!  I'm flattered to have received this award as it is good to know that other fellow crafters enjoy my creations!

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has chosen to follow my blog and also to those who leave encouraging comments on my posts.  They are all really appreciated.

"The origins of the Liebster Blog Award are somewhat unclear but the general consensus is that it originated in Germany, Liebster meaning favourite or dearest, to showcase bloggers with fewer than 200 followers. Upon accepting the award the recipient must then pass it on to five more blogs of note."

Here's what to do on receiving your Award
1. Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog.
2. Link back to the blogger who presented the award to you.
3. Copy and paste their blog award on your blog.
4. Present the Liebster Blog award to 5 blogs of 200 followers or less who you feel deserve    recognition.
5. Let them know they have been chosen by leaving a comment at their blog.

Here are my five blogs I've chosen to pass this on to.  They are in no particular order:

Pat K at  - Paper, Markers, Ink, Oh My!

Johann at - It's My Creative World

Nic at - Crafty Urchins

Kerri at - Thank God for Colors

Anja at - Little Butterfly Creations

Thank you once again to Liz who gave me this award.

The Versatile Blogger Award

The Versatile Blogger Award

Wow, I could hardly believe it when I read the message in my comments - I had been nominated for the Versatile Blogger award by the fabulous Elaine. I am so thrilled to be nominated for this award.

Elaine is a very talented lady who has only recently started her own blog but she has been crafting for about 10 years, Elaine has some gorgeous creations on her blog.  If you do not already know Elaine's work, please pop over to her blog and take a look at it.

It is such an honour to receive this award and I should like to say a massive thank you to Elaine for nominating me.

This award comes with its rules ..........

"If you are nominated, you have been awarded the Versatile Blogger award".  First, you should thank the person who gave you this award. then:
  • Include a link to their blog,
  • Select 15 blogs that you have either recently discovered or follow regularly,
  • Nominate those 15 bloggers for the Versatile Blogger Award,
  • Finally, tell the person who nominated you 7 things about yourself.
My nominations for the Versatile Blogger Award are all people who inspire me with their amazing work,  They are:

Mina @ Pinkpuds

I could have nominated many more people who I think are just amazing..........

Finally, seven things about me ....
  1. I have four cream Burmese pussycats who are extremely spoilt.
  2. I enjoy most crafts, including knitting, crochet, cross stitch, as well as card making.
  3. I spend far too much time looking at other people's blogs.
  4. I spend far too much money on (essential!!) crafty bits.
  5. I am very organised and like to have a place for everything and everything in its place!
  6. I am blessed with three sons and one daughter.
  7. I am also blessed with two gorgeous grandsons and have another grandchild due in July this year.

Tilda with Flowers

Hello again, this is my second post this week! I coloured up Magnolia Tilda with Flowers using my Copics and Prismacolors, I've gone with pastels for a soft look, using pinks and greens again, I did say it's one of my favourite colour combinations. I stitched all around the edges and added ribbon, flowers and sparkly gems. I hope you like it.

I've gone for a different layout with this card and in keeping with my 'no shopping' (for now) policy, everything I've used is from my stash. I must use what I already have and not what I think I need for my next project!!

The problem is that I have so much stuff stashed away that I forget what I've got and therefore it doesn't get used! I'm pleased with the end result of this card.

This card qualifies for the following challenges: Pink & Girly Let's See Some Green #25 Favourite Things Green or Good Luck Let's See Those Layers #155 Recipe Punches Anything Goes Spring / Pastels Birthdays

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Many thanks for stopping by and for any comments they are always gratefully received.

Spoil Me!

Hello again, for today's card I have used a LOTV stamp 'Positively Pampered', I love this cute and girly image and have used pinks and greens (one of my favourite colour combinations) Copics together with Prisma Color pencils for added definition.

I added lots of sparkle to her wings and perfume bottle! and went to town with my embellies, I even sewed around the edges and added a pretty hat pin as well as a corner cut from my ek corner punch. Finally I glittered up some flowers and die cut some Magnolia leaves. The sentiment is from the Delish Crown Princess stamp set. By using a general sentiment, I can use this card for most occasions.

I'm really pleased with the way this card has turned out. I've just noticed that I took the close up photo before I had added my pearls!!

A huge welcome to my new followers! and a massive thank you to those of you who have left me your comments, please keep them coming!! I hope to be able to visit you all again soon.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges: Pink & Girly #40 Lets See Some Green #25 Favourite Things #74 Things with Wings #110 Green or Good Luck #138 Lets See Those Layers #154 Tic-Tac-Toe #61 Things with Wings

Bye for now

Just Because

I've had this sweet LOTV image 'Daydream' stamped and waiting to be coloured since the last LOTV stamp launch! I finally coloured her using my Copics, sorry I didn't write the colours down. I added some softly distressed clouds behind her by using a cloud die and sponging round it with my distress inks.

I made a step card from some 300gsm card, added some card and papers from my stash. I die cut a Magnolia flourish and a Memory Box fancy corner flourish. I added a Prima crystal pebble, some pearls and a couple of flowers with pearl stems behind a simple sentiment, I can use this card for any occasion!

Well, it's a little bit brighter here today! Although as I type this, the sun has gone behind a large dark cloud!! Thank you for all your lovely comments, I appreciate them all and welcome to my new followers:)) Thank you for stopping by.

Saturated Magic

Good morning everybody, A big welcome to my new followers and thank you to all of you who leave me a comment.

I can't believe that I was the winner of Mandy's gorgeous candy over at her fabulous blog A Sprinkling of Glitter. My lovely goodies were here with me super quick and I have been having a play, but my mojo still seems to be awol. Mandy now has some more super candy, you can find the link in my sidebar.

Today I have a card to show you that I made using one of Krista Smiths Saturated Canary images, this one is called Nevaeh. I love these images and could buy all of them! I had to restrain myself and just buy a few.  I did a punched edge around my card which means I now have to make a box to give it in!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges: Die Cuts Week 142 - Anything Goes #59 - Layers #39 Happy Birthday #73 Anything Goes #71 Distressed #108 Birthdays Distressing

Thank you for stopping by. I really love to read your comments and to visit you in return. Have a great week.

Believe in Fairies

Hello again and a big thank you to all of you that have left me your comments, each and every one is truly appreciated and a warm welcome to my new followers. Where did I suddenly get all these followers from!!?

This is my first post this year. I seem to have lost my mojo and have spent hours trawling through other peoples blogs, looking at some brilliant creations, I order new stuff to fulfil my inspiration and by the time it arrives, I'm back to my I'll start tomorrow phase! I've also lost a huge picture folder from my lap-top, I'd been having a few niggly problems with my storage device for a while and it finally decided to tidy itself up and has now permanently deleted all my pictures. Hopefully I should be able to salvage some (but not any recent ones) from an old unused pc we have upstairs somewhere!
I'm loving Krista Smiths Saturated Canary images and have ordered myself a few. I've had some printed out waiting to be coloured for a while now, and I just haven't even looked at colouring them! that's how far my mojo has gone.
There seems to be so many fabulous stamps out there at the moment, I'm really liking these Ching-Chou  Kuik stamps available from Crafts & Me. They are so lovely to stamp with. I have used one called Red Hearts. I coloured her with my Copics and Prisma color pencils. I finished her off with a sprinkle of my usual

I used some Paisley Road papers that I have had for over a year!! and card from my stash. I added black ribbon and a butterfly charm. The sentiment is from the LOTV Dreamy Days Sentiments set.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges: Sketch #64 #3 Fantasy Creatures Challenge #53 Loves Me, Loves me Not Something Old Challenge #72 Love is in the Air Challenge #202 Buttons and Bows Challenge #20 Anything Goes Have a Heart Love is in the Air #105 Valentines

I really am going to colour and create something with my Saturated Canary digis! Thank you for stopping by and for your lovely comments. Have a great week.
