Under the Mistletoe

Good morning lovely bloggers. A warm welcome to my lovely new followers and a big thank you to those of you who have left me some wonderful comments, I really do appreciate you all :))
It's soo cold, I plan to stay indoors today dressed in cosy clothes (pj's and dressing gown!!) and my heating on. I might even attempt to put my tree up, although I still haven't found the clear lights I want for it, so I might have to pop out to The Range, (just for the lights of course!)

I received my new Copics in the post and have been following Bev Rochester's fab colouring video tutorial here. Bev makes it look soo easy, but I persevered and am pleased with what I did :) I also finished my colouring off with my Prismacolor pencils. This is the first time I've combined the two and the result is here:

I stamped up one of my lovely LOTV Christmas stamps called Under the Mistletoe, this cute stamp is one of many that have been waiting to see the light of day, I told myself I wouldn't order any more new ones, until I'd used all the others I have, at least once, but I keep seeing all these beautiful images and before I know it, they're in my shopping basket and on their way to me!! I think it's called addiction - lol.

I did a PATP with Martha Stewarts Aspen Snowflakes punches and used papers from my stash (something else I have far too much of - but never the right ones of course!!) I used my new Marianne Poinsettia Die on some voile shimmer paper for the flower and added a pre-cut sentiment mounted onto the same backing card that I used behind my image, that I think I bought from Little Clare. I've bought so much stuff recently, that I'm not sure what I bought from where!! I also added some lovely green sparkling trim by Papermania for some texture and some snowflakes, then finished off with lots of sparkle. I even made a box for it as these PATP edged cards won't fit into their envelopes! Speaking of envelopes, I have ordered some box envelopes for any 6" x 6" cards that have raised details such as flowers on them, from Tracey at Craftezee, they are very reasonably priced and you can get yours here

I've just noticed that my pictures look a bit blurred and have realised that I have a fingerprint or something right in the middle of my lens, I want to get this posted so will try and post a clearer picture at some point when I'm not in a rush.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

That's it for now. Many thanks for stopping by, please leave me a comment (they let me know you've been) and I can visit you too. Whatever you're doing today, have a happy day and keep warm!

Bye for now
Hugs

Wonderful for You

Good morning, and a big hug to my new followers!

We have some lovely sunshine here this morning, I can't believe it's Christmas in only a month! I have managed to make most of my Christmas cards and have a couple of presents (wrapped)! I still have loads to do to make it happen in our house!! I've bought a new Christmas tree, I've gone for a white one this time, I've always had the traditional green, but thought white would make a nice change, but of course, none of my stash of baubles will match with it, I've decided to go for silver, black and red, so have to buy all new ones. Even my beautiful lights that I usually use won't do, as they are on green wires, which won't be right and I can't find any pretty ones on white or invisible wires!! Am sure I'll get there in the end. The pressure I put on myself over these little things, as I like everything matching ..................(lol)

Anyway onto today's card. This is for someone who is going through a tough time right now and is waiting for some life changing news! I've stamped up my lovely new Special Edition Tilda available here and used my usual Pro-Markers to colour her. I've read so much about how wonderful Copics are and have ordered myself a couple of sets, which I'm waiting for postie to bring, can't wait!

I forced myself to cut my beautiful new Trimcraft First Edition, Up Up & Away papers, they are glittered and soo pretty IRL. I used a small Marianne doily die behind my image.

I added leaves cut with the Magnolia leaf die behind the flowers, which were punched. I added tiny crystals to the centre of the flowers and some larger crystals to soften the corner on the image.

I used my Magnolia Butterfly die and popped some more tiny crystals on the stem.

Finally, I finished of with a LOTV sentiment mounted on some matching card, cut with my Nesties and added Liquid Pearl around the edge and some sparkly to Tildas presents.

It's my Party

Hello, I'm sharing a card I made for my friends birthday. I used my new LOTV stamp, coloured with my Pro-markers, Magnolia doily die, Magnolia leaf die, Petaloo flowers, old papers and card from my stash. The sentiment is by Penny Black, I used my nesties for the badge and added lots of sparkly.

Forever Friends

Hello, I've made another card - my second in two days, nothing for ages, then two in two days!
This time I've used a favourite from last year from my Forever Friends stamp set, I die cut my own card, used Prismacolor pencils to colour my stamped image, my sentiment is one from LOTV and finally I added lots of sparkly (which doesn't show too well on my photo!).
I'm entering this one into the
http://foreverfriendschallengeblog.blogspot.com/ 'Use Sentiment' Monthly Challenge and http://sentimentalsundays.blogspot.com/ Challenge #77 Fancy Folds and a Sentiment.
That's all for now. Hugs x

Pom Diddly

Just a quick post before I go to pack for my trip to Torbay this weekend. Will be taking my Pro-Markers and some images I've stamped up to keep me busy while I'm there.
I made this card for the Lili of the Valley Challenge 88 - Sketch by Bev. I still don't know how to link properly to a challenge, but will have another go, hope I get it right this time!
I adore all the Lili of the Valley stamps, they're just soo cute, I keep buying them and then they don't even see an ink pad - am sure I can't be the only one that does this?
Many thanks to all those who have left me comments, I love to find new ones when I log on, it's so lovely that people take the time to leave me some feedback, so please keep the comments coming, I always go to the blogs of people who have left me a comment and am finding some wonderful work which fills me with inspiration, I just need more confidence with my colouring...........  I shall have to learn how to make my blog look a bit prettier too, as there are some beautiful blogs out there, which make mine look a bit poor- but hey, Rome wasn't built in a day! lol. Hugs, Vicki x
